ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY

Madan Mohan Malaviya University of technology, Gorakhpur has been established in year 2013 by Govt. of Uttar Pradesh in the form of a non affiliating teaching and research university after reconstituting the Madan Mohan Malaviya Engg. 48 batches of studentshave entered its portals to emerge after 4 years of rigorous education under the tutelage of some of the most venerable Teachers, Engineers ready to face the world and create new world. The University is located in the Gorakhpur - Deoria road about 9 Kms away from Gorakhpur Railway Station. In addition to UG and PG in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology. University also offers MCA and MBA programmes. University is a QIP center for Ph.D programme

This department was established in 1984 and with time it has earned the recognition as one of the top Computer Science & Engg. programs in the UP. The department offers B.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering. Besides B.Tech., the department is also running Master of Computer Application (MCA). The department has also started M.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering and Information Technology and is the first in offering this PG program among UP Govt. aided Engineering Institutions.
The Department has a number of laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art computing facilities to support the research and teaching activities especially in areas of Mobile Computing/Databases, Computer Networking etc. A departmental library with about 500 books on Computer Science for the exclusive use of the faculty and students is located in the premises of the Department.
